Frequently ASked Questions

Is this cheating?

Absolutely not. Getting advice on a research proposal or draft is really important and everyone should do it.

Will you write some or part of my project for me?

No. That would be academic dishonesty. We don't write anything for you, but we will advise on phrasing or suggest content for sections of your work.

Do you provide services in any language other than English?

No, sorry.

Do you provide editing/proofreading services?

No, we focus on the content of the work and the appropriate application of research approaches. However, we will flag any awkward phrasing, typos, structural problems or non-academic writing.

Couldn't I get support from my supervisor or my friends and family on my research?

Yes! If you have a supervisor or someone else who can offer you valuable suggestions on your work, you should take it. This might be instead of or in addition to the services we provide.

How much does it cost?

The pricing structure is transparent, with price depending on the length of your written work.

What if I need more support/guidance?

We will answer brief follow-up questions to clarify any points arising from the feedback. This is included in the price. If you would like to discuss your work further or want ongoing support, we offer consultation meetings at an additional fee. Get in touch with us to arrange.

Do I need to credit you on a proposal/paper/report/etc.?

No. The feedback we provide will help YOU make the requisite changes, and doesn’t meet the threshold whereby we would need to be credited

Are you experts in all areas of psychology?

No, we have particular expertise in health and social psychology. However, having devised, supervised and marked hundreds (if not thousands) of research projects, we have the expertise to advise you appropriately. We have very strong research skills, extensive experience of the research process and knowledge of the writing and publication process. We can’t be expected to have extensive knowledge of the literature in your particular domain, but we can advise on the strength of your academic argument as supported by the literature you cite.

How will this feedback help me to improve and how do I use it?

We intend to provide clear, actionable feedback so that you can improve your work, and also increase your skills and knowledge. (See our “Further Resources” page for information that can help you use feedback effectively.)
Some of the aspects we may comment on include:
- The strength of your literature review and justification for your research questions - The structure, appropriateness and feasibility of your RQ - Your methodology including process, instruments, participants and recruitment and analyses - Your interpretation of the results and linking to past literature, implications, limitations and conclusions.

Do you guarantee success?

We don't know what success might mean for you, but we sadly can't guarantee it. We can guarantee that we will provide useful and actionable feedback on your work and if you follow our suggestions, your work will be stronger.
